No power is stronger than the inner strength of children who are given a chance to learn

Purpose

We believe that no single power in the world is stronger than the inner strength of children who are given the opportunity to learn.

All children in the world should have access to quality education and decent jobs when they graduate. This is the foundation for sustainable livelihoods and the purpose of Human Practice Foundation.

It is our quest in life to empower the lives of vulnerable children and thereby improve as many communities as possible in selected underserved areas of the world.

Projects

We help young people and their communities find a path out of poverty. We rebuild existing schools and train teachers in remote areas that are otherwise deprived of quality education and based on our insight and close contact with the communities we develop our projects to directly and effectively address local needs and challenges. With entrepreneurial projects, we drive and support young people and their communities in finding a path out of poverty.

Cases

School Project

In 2017, when we started the project at Durga Secondary School in Taplejung, Nepal, the worn-out classrooms were an unhealthy learning environment for the public schools’ 287 students. The School buildings’ terrible condition had students and teachers worried about the potential catastrophic consequenc- es in case of another earthquake such as they experienced in 2014.

Coffee Project

In the Taplejung district farming is the main occupation, but few farmers manage to make a living from their crops, resulting in migration to the Gulf states where they accept inhumane jobs to provide financially for their families. With Human Practice Foundation’s Coffee Impact Programme farmers can make a profit and take care of their family while staying in Taplejung.

Human Practice Foundation has established Project Inner Strength with the aim of strengthening the self-esteem and confidence of students at Danish primary schools, supporting them in having healthy relationships and thriving.

Denmark

At Danish Schools, many students are not thriving. They feel distressed and lonely. The schools do not necessarily have the capabilities to handle this challenge.

People

We are an International NGO dedicated to education and skill development of children and youth. Human Practice Foundation was established in 2014 with support from great friends; a special thanks to Martin and Jesper Kring. The foundation is managed from Denmark and headed by CEO Pernille Kruse Madsen. Our Board of Directors, chaired by Jeff Gravenhorst, oversees the organization.

We would be nothing without the support and energy of a dedicated group of people (Founding Partners) who provide all funding of administration costs in Denmark. This is one of the unique features of Human Practice Foundation: Enabling us to use 100% of donations directly on project-related work.
